What is Child
Health Plus?
New York State has a health
insurance plan for kids, called Child Health Plus. This plan is
available through dozens of providers throughout the state.
Enrolling in Child Health Plus is easy. |
What benefit can you get for your
kids?
All these services will be paid for
by Child Health Plus:
- well-child care
- physical examinations
- immunizations
- diagnosis and treatment of illness and
injury
- X-rays and lab tests
- outpatient surgery
- emergency care
- prescription drugs
- inpatient hospital medical or surgical
care
- short-term therapeutic outpatient
services (chemotherapy, hemodialysis)
- limited outpatient treatment for
alcoholism and substance abuse and mental health
- Dental Care!
- Vision Care!
- Speech and Hearing!
- Durable Medical Equipment!
Basically, most of your child's health
needs will be covered.

Child Health Plus
Who is eligible?
To be eligible for either Child Health, children must be under
the age of 19 and be residents of New York State. Whether a child
qualifies for Child Health Plus depends on gross family income.
Check the following income charts to see whether your child
will most likely qualify for.
Even if your family income is high, you can enroll your
child in Child Health Plus.
What does it Cost?
There are NO CO-PAYMENTS for services or benefits received!
Depending on your gross family income, you may have to pay
a family contribution to enroll in Child Health Plus.
